My name is Ryan Thomas. I was born in Massachusetts but I was raised in NH. I grew up in Belmont, NH and after graduating high school attended the university of New Hampshire. I met my future wife my sophomore year at UNH and we got married in the summer of 2000 after we graduated. We have a beautiful daughter and live in the seacoast. I enjoy running, and all sports. When I am not working, with my family or working out I enjoy going to the movies. I work all of the time but make a point to get away a few times a year. We love to travel and experience new things.
I started my career in the mortgage industry in 2001. In the summer of 2002 I opened my own company, Thomas Family Mortgage. I owned and operated this company until the spring of 2008. During this time I employed as many as 20 employees and we originated residential mortgages. In 2008 I was faced with a decision; either become a correspondent lender or join one. After speaking with many of the lender’s I had been doing business with over the years I decided to join Merrimack Mortgage Co Inc. My staff made the jump with me and we stayed in the same place, just changing the sign. I was the Branch Manager and we continued originating loans but now as a lender not a broker. During this time I was the top originator in NH and ran the top branch in NH. In the spring of 2011 I made the decision to leave Merrimack Mortgage and join Wells Fargo Home Mortgage as an Assistant Vice President. Again my staff made the move with me. While at Wells Fargo I managed the Rochester, NH branch and I took over the Portsmouth, NH branch and rebuilt it. During my time at Wells Fargo my Branches originated between $125,000,000 and $150,000,000 a year in new loans. I grew the two branches to over 25 people and managing was taking away from what I was originating. Over this span of 13 years I have worked as a broker, for a correspondent lender, and the largest bank in the world. In all 3 places I was very successful and able to offer outstanding service to my clients and customers. However in December of 2013 I knew I had to make a change. Working for a large bank was not for me. I am glad that I tried it but know the best way to service my clients would be to work for a small correspondent that had the same values I had when I owned Thomas Family Mortgage and work for a company where the customer and client always come first. I needed to work for a company where the whole process was handled locally and I could have control over the loans and if I needed something I did not have to jump through hoops to get answers. After much time and research I found that lender and in January I joined Northpoint Mortgage.
Northpoint Mortgage is a local mortgage lender with 2 owner’s. Tim and Rich Dinges have built a company where the customer and client come first and the employees are one big family. They pride themselves on finding ways to get loans closed and do so in a timely manner. The company does not have layers of management so when I need something I just go to them. They are in the field everyday working with us and helping us grow our business. Teamwork is what this company was built around and everyone has the same goal. I am back to focusing on originating loans which I love to do and am no longer dedicating all of my time to managing the offices workflow . We offer the best service, great rates and have a wide arrange of product. I am confident that if you choose to work with me or the people in my office you will be impressed. This is not a job for me it is my life. Anyone that has worked with me will tell you I always answer my phone and I work until my clients and customers are 100% satisfied. Unfortunately this is not a 9-5 job and I do work 7 days a week and answer calls and e-mails at all hours of the day but I love what I do. Helping people attain home ownership has been a great joy to me. I am lucky that I found my calling when I was 23 years old. Give me chance to earn your business and you will not be disappointed. I will be there when you need me before, during and after you close on your mortgage.
